Our Top Designs Of 2019
How many times have you written 2019 in the last week? I have more than I can count!
Maybe I need to say a proper goodbye to 2019 before I welcome in 2020. What better way to pay tribute to this past year than a look back.
When I asked the ladies of Flowers Talk Tivoli to look back over the last year and choose their favourite designs, it was like taking a walk down memory lane as they scrolled through their photos searching and reminiscing.
First off, here is Elena’s top pick of her designs from 2019.
Elena explains “This one of my favourites. The customers wanted this colour combination, I think the occasion was 50 year anniversary (golden colours). I had a lot of fun working on it.”
This arrangement consisted of garden roses, orange mokara orchids, white hydrangeas, white dahlias, oncidium orchids and Queen Anne’s lace.
Next, we have Tammy’s top pick for 2019.
“When asked what your favourite arrangement of the year was it’s a tough pick. I love being able to create arrangements and bouquets for all occasions, working with walk in clientele, phone calls and brides to be. Every arrangement is created for that particular moment… thanks to all of you who trust us with those moments we share.” Well said Tammy!
This beauty includes pink mondial roses, white waxflowers, pink astilbe, raspberry scabiosa, pink astrantia and burgundy dahlias.
Here is Chelsey’s top choice.
“I’m absolutely in love with summer flowers! I chose this arrangement because it reminds me of a tropical explosion! A mix of my favourite tropical blooms such as pin cushion proteas, mokara orchids, and oncidium orchids. I never thought I would mix the flowers I chose, but the local flowers of snapdragons, zinnias, and yarrow really pulled everything together perfectly. In my mind, you can never have enough colour and textures!” Perfectly explained by Chelsey.
And then we have Jennifer, showing off her top choice for 2019.
Jennifer loved the deep rich tone, texture and natural feel to these arrangements that she created. They are the perfect addition to the tiny little pumpkins for this thanksgiving celebration.
These arrangements included a mix of garden roses, dahlias, celosia, seeded eucalyptus, red skimmia, and true blue eucalyptus.
And on to Pat’s choice for 2019.
Pat’s favourite arrangement was for a celebration of life, but no matter how many times I scoured my pictures, I could not find the picture of it. So I will showcase another arrangement that I thought was beautiful. Pat enjoys creating arrangements with lots of natural texture and thinking a little outside the box.
This design was created with antique hydrangeas, burgundy dahlias, pink celosia, lavender and spray roses.
Personally looking back at 2019.
My new bestie Michelle made my top list of designs.
It was an honour to be asked to create the flowers for Michelle Obama when we came for her talk in Ottawa recently this year.
Thank you for joining us as I walked down the memory lane of this past year. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you for welcoming the design team of Flowers Talk Tivoli to be a part of your life’s biggest moments.
From helping to welcome newborn babies into the world, being a part of special birthdays, sending your precious cargo off to prom, adorning the bride on her wedding day and the groom on his, celebrating anniversaries and sending your final goodbye to a friend or loved one.
